I am an English teacher at Boggio Lera High School in Catania and in this year I have been involved in an Erasmus+ partnership whose title is "TEACHERS AS LEARNERS, LEARNERS AS TEACHERS". The first part of this European project deals with a huge and heavy phenomenon : Migration. As a teacher who is a "digital" promoter in teaching, I have been asked to show how teaching can be enhanced thanks to the use of web apps, webquests, online questionnaires, etc. But , above all, changing our way of teaching , that is : flipping our lessons.
In fact, I will demostrate the application of this approach during the workshops I will lead on 20th April 2016.
Morever, I made this website to upload all the videos, the questionnaire and the webtools that are necessary to let the students learn in an active and participated way and produce original digital works. I mean that they will work in groups , collaborating and supporting each other in order to make a unique "authentic" and "real" work .
Finally, I would like to thank my dear colleague , Anna Barberi, coordinator of this Erasmus project, for giving me the great opportunity of "flipping " a European classroom , with students coming from Denmark, Germany , Norway and Slovenia.
